The rose windows of Notre-Dame are among the most famous stained glass in the world. Following the tragic fire in April 2019, Tuzlukov was shocked by
the idea of how a centuries-old cultural heritage could be destroyed in hours. As a tribute to Notre-Dame, he developed the idea to immortalise the cathedral as a significant part of world cultural heritage.
Based on his French colleague’s idea, Lionel Bailey, Tuzlukov began to reproduce the pattern of the stained glass in a faceting diagram. The gemstone was cut with 860 facets as a visual reminder of the 860 year history of Notre Dame.
